Five Surya - albums are now available on CD from https://elasticstage.com/electricmagic!
This is a relatively new service, from the UK, where basically they print these albums on demand. I'm kinda testing this at the moment, since it makes no sense for me to ship anything from Brasil, while all these albums deserve physical media:
1) O Jardim Sagrado - Still recorded in Berlin with a lot of Krautrock vibes. I was still handling orders for World In Sound at the time and had a nice collection of 70s Krautrock (esp. Longhair + Garden Of Delights) which may have influenced this.
2) Selected Works - A collection of tunes from earlier albums like "Drones From The Wood", "The Desert Within" etc where I was still just finding out what I wanted to do: Surya started because I was kinda unhappy with a few things in SBE, already in late 2013. I couldn't express this better than with a few calmer tunes.
3) Strange New World - The first Surya-album that I made in Brasil. It marks the big comeback of guitar. It's still a bit "chaotic" perhaps because I was still in that aforementioned search. But it has quite a few cool tracks, and as every album is kind of a musical diary.
4) There's Light In The Distance - Without doubt now I've gotten close to THE sound that I've wanted to create for a long time. It's guitar leads flirting with space sounds, and probably among the best albums of my whole career.
5) Viva Galaxia - I'm just happy for all I've learned until now. Some people may not understand what I'm doing here, why I was unhappy in Samsara etc. Maybe some day they will...
If all works out I add also more CDs of earlier albums in the future.
